Sonepat, April 29
A man allegedly shot dead his brother-in-law over a family dispute when the latter was returning from the fields in the district’s Silana village on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Ravikant alias Sonu of Silana.
He was pursuing a divorce case on behalf of his sister. Her husband, Narender of Jhajjar’s Gwalisan village, had a few days ago threatened Ravikant with dire consequences if he pursued the case.
On the complaint of Ravikant’s mother Santosh, Narender and an unidentified person were booked for murder. — OC
