Karnal, April 30
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Monday night stayed in the district’s Salaru village. He had dinner at the house of Manju, a Dalit panch.
Earlier, he chaired a “gram chaupal” to hear out problems of locals.
Khattar told the media, “I am here to interact with people and know about their problems. Several issues came to my notice, the prominent being BPL cards.”
Some people, however, returned home disappointed as they were not given time to speak out. “I wanted to bring to CM’s notice the plight of my disabled son,” a woman said. — Parveen Arora
