Now, trains to halt at Jind’s Baroda village

Kurukshetra, June 28

Prem Lata, BJP MLA from Uchana in Jind, on Thursday said the Railway Ministry had approved train halts at the historic Baroda village.

She said residents of Uchana segment had been demanding a station for more than four decades. Lata undertook groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a station at Baroda village.

She said Baroda was an important pilgrimage destination for the Jain sect and the railway facility would ensure better connectivity to the area. Uchana MLA credited her husband and Union Steel Minister Birender Singh for the project. She said the earthwork for the railway station would be conducted under MNREGS. — TNS
