2 truck drivers charred to death in Jhajjar

Jhajjar, June 30

Two drivers were charred to death after a truck rammed into a stationary truck on the Jhajjar-Dadri road near Godhadi village here on Friday night. The deceased have been identified as Hariram and Devender, both truck drivers.

The incident took place when Hariram was replacing the flat tyre of his truck. Devender, the driver of another truck, failed to spot the stationary truck due to darkness and rammed into it, after which both trucks caught into flames. Both drivers were trapped in the mangled remains of the trucks, and they could not escape when the vehicles caught fire.

Later, the police on getting information reached the spot and sent the bodies to the civil hospital for postmortem.
