Strict action to be taken against HCS officer: Vij

Chandigarh, May 30

Health Minister Anil Vij said that stringent action would be taken against the HCS officer for alleged molestation of a woman officer.

“I will also have a word with Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in this regard,” he added.

Interacting with mediapersons here on Wednesday, Vij said if found guilty, he won’t be spared. An FIR would be lodged against him and he would be punished as the law is same for everyone.

Vij said the state government was making efforts to find a way out to bring down the prices of petrol and diesel. A favourable outcome of this effort would be known soon.

He said during the 10-year Congress rule, petrol prices had increased from Rs 36.49 to Rs 73.70 per litre at an average increase of Rs 4 per year. But under the NDA Government, these had increased at an average of 60 paisa per year. “In spite of this, our government is finding ways to reduce it further,” he said. — TNS
