The authorities are yet to remove debris and trees that fell down during thunderstorm on Friday evening from the premises of the Chief Minister’s Camp Office here.

Moreover, the boundary wall of the office also collapsed in the thunderstorm, but it was yet to be restored.

Amrinder Singh, OSD to CM, used to listen to grievances of people every Tuesday and Friday, but for the last three weeks he was not coming to the Camp Office.

Amrinder Singh said, “I have been assigned some work by the CM in Chandigarh and I have not visited the Camp Office for the last three weeks. So, I am not aware about the condition of the office.”

In his absence, BJP leader Kuldeep Sharma is looking after the office. Sharma said that he had asked the authorities concerned to remove the debris and the uprooted trees.

District BJP president Jagmohan Anand said that he came to know about the issue now only and he would ask the Deputy Commissioner to restore the beauty of the Camp Office.

Deputy Commissioner Aditya Dahiya said that the Municipal Corporation’s authorities had been asked to remove the uprooted trees and debris from the entire city as well as the Camp Office. The office would be cleared of the debris and the uprooted trees in a day or two, he added.
