The BJP top brass on Thursday prepared a blueprint for mass contact programme with a cross-section of society ahead of the Parliamentary and Assembly elections next year.
At a series of meetings with district presidents, district coordinators, ministers, MLAs, chairpersons of boards and corporations and members of the core committee of the state BJP, party general secretary Arun Singh exhorted the state leadership to be battle ready for twin elections next year.
A blue print to connect with 50 more persons, especially intellectuals, literary persons and artists, and apprise them of the BJP ideology during the special contact programme was deliberated upon at the meetings. The leadership right from Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to the district-level office-bearers was exhorted to organise special contact programmes.
Arun Singh urged the state leadership to publicise Central Government’s 15 welfare schemes for different sections of society. He also took feedback about these schemes from the state leadership.
CM kicks up campaign
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Thursday night kicked off BJP's special contact programme from Panchkula by calling on Lt Gen BKN Chhibber (retd), former Punjab Governor, and Justice AN Jindal, a former Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, at their Panchkula residences. The Chief Minister apprised them of the achievements of the NDA Government during the last four years
Face to face with PM
PM Narendra Modi will connect with beneficiaries of welfare schemes through video-conferencing and the Narendra Modi App. While Modi will interact with beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana on June 5, he will connect with beneficiaries of Atal Innovation Mission on June 6. On June 7, he will interact with beneficiaries of Jan Aushadi scheme, while he will interact with beneficiaries of Jeewan Jyoti Bima Yojana on June 8.
