KARNAL: Rural sanitation workers under the banner of Gramin Safai Karamchari Sangh Haryana Pradesh on Tuesday protested outside the CM camp office demanding regularisation of jobs, same salary for same work and minimum wage of Rs 18,000. State president of the sangh Rajesh Kumar alleged the state government was ignoring their demands. He also demanded EPF and ESI facilities for the rural sanitation workers. TNS
Can’t refuse plot registration: RTI
Karnal: An RTI query has revealed that neither a tehsildar or nor a naib tehsildar can refuse to register land in a colony. City resident Rajesh Sharma had sought information on whether an official could refuse land registration under the Haryana Registration Act. He also sought information on circumstances and rules under which a tehsildar could refuse registration of plot in an authorised or unauthorised colony. The RTI revealed that there was no rule that barred registration of plot in an authorised or unauthorised colony. The sub-registrar said the registry could be done until it was not sub-judice and there was no pendency against it. TNS

Govt approves six ROBs
Chandigarh: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has approved a proposal for construction six railways over bridges (ROBs) through accelerated bridge construction (ACB) technique. A spokesman of Public Works (Building and Roads) Department said the ROBs, which were to be constructed using ACB technique included ROB on NH Rewari-Narnaul near village Palli, four lane ROB in lieu of level crossing No 31 on Delhi-Rewari section near Garhi Harsaru, ROB at Sector-19, Panchkula on Ambala-Chandigarh railway line, four lane ROB on Delhi-Ambala railway line crossing at Kond-Munak-Salwan-Assandh road in district Karnal, two lane ROB on Jakhal-Hisar Railway Line crossing at Tohana-Kullan road, Fatehabad and ROB at Hisar Surya Nagar.
