The police have arrested six foreigners and a local car driver for allegedly misbehaving and attacking a woman sub-inspector (SI) here.
SI Suman was deployed at a barricade near Sikanderpur Metro Station to check vehicles. Suman saw six foreigners, all women, in a car and sought their passports for identification, but they had nothing on them. When Suman asked them to step out of the car, they along with the car driver attacked her and tore her uniform. They were immediately nabbed by the police and an FIR was registered against all seven under Sections 323 (causing hurt), 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant), 186 (obstructing public servant) of the IPC and Sections 3 and 14 of the Foreigners Act at DLF-II police station. Investigation revealed that all six women were from Turkmenistan.
