Guidelines for online admissions issued

Chandigarh, June 1

The Higher Education Department has issued guidelines for centralised online admission in all the government, aided and self financing degree (SFS) colleges for the academic session 2018-19. The online admissions will begin from June 6 and the last date for applying online will be June 22.

An official spokesman said the roll numbers of the students getting admission in first year of under-graduate and post-graduate course would be ‘auto generated’ by the system and these would remain same for a student for the next three to two years. Roll numbers of only those candidates would be generated who have successfully deposited the fee, he added.

All candidates would be intimated for all successful steps in the application form through SMS.

He said two provisional lists would be generated for each round and applicants (falling under same list) would be called for documents. — TNS
