A man allegedly strangled his father to death on Thursday over a land dispute. The deceased, Rajbir (50), was an ex-serviceman. He was a native of the district’s Issapur Kheri village.
Rajbir owned seven acres. He was staying alone in the village after his retirement from the Army.
On the complaint of Rajbir’s brother Rohtas, who lives in Hisar’s Kheri Ranga village, a case of murder was registered against Rajbir’s son Sumit and wife Darshna, and Darshna’s brothers Ram Murti and Rameshwar of Kaundh village in Bhiwani district.
Sumit and Darshna were arrested on Friday. On Thursday evening, Sumit went to his father’s house to talk about the land dispute. But their talk resulted in a quarrel and Sumit allegedly strangled his father to death before.
After preliminary investigation, the victim’s body was sent to the Civil Hospital in Gohana for the postmortem.
