Minister suspends JE, gram sachiv

Transport Minister Krishan Lal Pawar on Saturday ordered the suspension of a Junior Engineer (JE) and a Gram Sachiv of the Development and Panchayats Department for allegedly committing irregularities in development works at Khanda village in the district about three years ago.
The minister gave the orders while presiding over a monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Committee here. Twelve of the 16 listed complaints were resolved.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Amna Tasneem, while discussing a complaint filed by Mehar Singh, a resident of Khanda village, said that irregularities had been committed in development works. Pawar asked Amma Tasneem to complete the investigation within a week.
The minister took serious note of a complaint regarding alleged cheating of customers by the TDI residential society and directed the SP to take necessary action. He also formed a committee headed by an HCS officer and consisting of officers of different departments to probe the charges against the society.
